Director, Writer, Actor
Coryis a Los Angeles–based writer and director whose work blends sharp, irreverent humor with deeply emotional, character-driven storytelling. His screenplays My Name Is Jonas and Enoch are modern reimaginings of ancient Jewish legends, using magical realism, pop culture, and rock and roll to explore queer identity, addiction and recovery, HIV/AIDS, and the impact of technology on society.
Enoch was a semifinalist at the Slamdance Screenwriting Competition and the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship, and ranked in the top 1% of projects on Coverfly. My Name Is Jonas was a finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenwriting Competition’s Diversity Initiative.
Cory also wrote, directed, and starred in the short film My Name Is Jonas, a proof of concept for the feature, which screened at the OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival, Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival, and Philadelphia Film Society’s SpringFest.
